About Us

Jayson Bai is the founder of IGLOO Engineering. He is a professional engineer registered with APEGA and has over 12 years of experience in solving civil and geotechnical engineering challenges. Jayson started his career in heavy civil construction industry as a field engineer, where he gained hands-on experience in construction supervision and quality management. Some notable projects he has contributed to from start to finish include the CP Rail’s inter-modal yard construction in Regina and McClean Lake uranium mine mill expansion in northern SK. Since then, he has been working as an owner’s civil engineer for a wholesaling/manufacturing company overseeing the entire process from planning to design and construction of commercial development across Western Canada. His areas of expertise include civil drainage and stormwater design, pavement design and assessment, and earthworks construction. His approach is to find practical and cost-effective solutions to engineering problems and manage risks.  

Jayson holds a B.Sc. degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a M.Sc. degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, both in Civil Engineering.
